Find every Anders setting
Use Overview, Knowledge, Handling, and Channels to control what Anders knows, how he handles customer situations, and how he works on calls and website chat.
The Anders area is where owners and managers configure RankLadder's AI office manager. Anders is one assistant across calls, texts, reviews, and website chat. The named receptionist voice controls what callers hear; it does not create or rename an assistant.
Open Anders from the main navigation. Staff members can work with customer conversations, but only owners and managers can open and change these settings.
Overview
Overview is a readiness summary, not a second dashboard. It shows whether your voicemail is ready, how much approved Knowledge Anders has, unanswered questions that need attention, published Situations, transfer and calendar setup, and which customer channels are active.
Use the cards to jump directly to the setting that needs work. A warning here does not change anything automatically; it points you to the configuration that needs attention.
Knowledge
- Business facts stores your business name, phone number, address, timezone, hours, and plain-language description. Anders uses these facts when customers ask who you are, where you are, what you do, or when you are open.
- Knowledge stores approved question-and-answer entries and handling instructions. Add them yourself, import a public website page, or upload documents such as policies and pricing sheets. Every imported item stays a draft until you review and approve it. Knowledge also shows real questions Anders could not answer so you can close gaps without asking him to guess.
Changes to approved facts and answers are available to compatible new calls and website chats. Keep customer-safe facts here; private team notes belong in the workspace, not customer-facing Knowledge.
Handling
- Situations brings one repeatable customer context, Anders's response guidance, allowed actions, and after-conversation work together. Drafts do nothing until you test and publish them.
- Intake defines the questions Anders should collect in different customer situations.
- Transfers defines when a live call may be offered to a named person or team and the number RankLadder calls.
- Texts defines exact information Anders may offer to text during a call. A text sends only after the caller's required verbal permission.
- Appointments defines what Anders may book, the connected calendar, duration, availability, and information to collect first.
- Lead Scoring defines how new conversations receive a 1–5 opportunity score. This setting is available on eligible plans.
- Call tags defines the labels Anders may apply after conversations so your team can filter the Inbox.
These settings describe bounded work Anders can perform. They are not a general workflow builder, and they never override permissions, plan limits, channel restrictions, or texting consent.
Channels
- Voice & Greetings controls the receptionist voice, brand voice, greeting, closing, voicemail message, and transfer hold music. The required recording-and-AI disclosure always remains the first sentence of an AI-answered call.
- When Anders creates tasks, within Voice & Greetings, controls which unfinished customer requests should become tasks for your team. By default, fully handled requests need no task. Rules stay in draft until you test and publish them. Understand customer tasks.
- Languages controls the optional caller language menu and its default language. The spoken transcript stays in the caller's language, with a translation alongside when needed.
- Website chat turns the public widget on or off and controls its appearance, welcome content, disclosure, installation code, and live preview. Website chat uses the same approved Knowledge and unified Inbox as calls.
Test before relying on a change
Use the available preview or safe-test control after changing voice, voicemail, languages, Knowledge, or a Situation. A Situation test simulates actions: it cannot place a call, send a text, transfer, book, notify, or consume customer usage. Publishing is a separate confirmation.
For end-to-end call behavior, make a real test call after saving. Check the disclosure, greeting, answer, intended action, transcript, and Inbox result.
