Import knowledge from your website
Paste a page from your website and RankLadder drafts knowledge entries from it. You review every draft, and nothing is saved until you approve it.
Your website already answers a lot of customer questions. Paste a page into the Knowledge tab and RankLadder drafts knowledge entries from it. You review every draft, and nothing is saved until you approve it.
Before you begin
- You need to be an owner or manager.
- This works in the web dashboard only, not in the mobile app.
- Have a page address ready. Your services page, FAQ, or homepage work best.
Steps
- Open Receptionist and choose Knowledge.
- Find the Import from your website section.
- Paste the page address into Website URL.
- Choose Import. You'll see "Reading the page" while it works.
- Review the drafts. You'll see something like "Found 6 drafts. Untick anything you don't want, then save." Each draft is either a Q&A or an Instruction.
- Untick any draft that's wrong, outdated, or not something you want the AI saying.
- Choose the add button (it shows the count, like Add 5 entries). Or choose Discard to throw the whole batch away.
What happens next
Approved drafts become regular knowledge entries, and the AI uses them on the very next call and website chat. You can edit or delete them later like any other entry.
Import one page at a time. If your site has a services page and an FAQ, run the import twice, once for each.
If it does not work
- "We couldn't read that page. Check the URL and try again." The address may have a typo, or the page isn't public. Open it in a regular browser tab first to confirm it loads.
- "We couldn't find anything usable on that page. Try your services or FAQ page." Some pages are mostly images or menus with little text. Pick a page with real sentences about what you do.

Answer the questions your AI couldn't
When a caller asks something your AI can't answer, the question is saved for you. Add an answer once and the AI handles it on every call after that.
