Choose how RankLadder notifies you
Pick which events send you a mobile push notification, an email, or both. Missed calls, answered calls, texts and chats, bookings, and new reviews each have their own switch.
You choose how RankLadder tells you about what happens: a push notification to your phone through the RankLadder app, an email to your sign-in address, or both. The controls live in Receptionist, under the Notifications tab, on the Your notifications sub-tab.
Before you begin
- Mobile push arrives through the RankLadder app on your phone. Email goes to the address you sign in with.
- These settings are personal. Each teammate with an account sets their own. To alert staff who don't use the app, see staff alerts.
Steps
- Open Receptionist and choose the Notifications tab.
- Stay on Your notifications.
- You'll see a row for each event and two columns: Mobile and Email. Turn each one on or off:
- Missed calls: a call went to voicemail or was missed.
- Answered calls: your AI answered and finished a call.
- Texts & website chats: a customer texts your business number or starts a chat on your website.
- Appointments booked: your AI books an appointment on your calendar.
- New reviews: a new Google review came in.
Changes save as you make them.
What happens next
From the next event on, you get notified the way you picked. Everything still lands in your Inbox either way. Notifications are just how you hear about it, so turning one off never loses a call or message.
If it does not work
- No mobile push? Make sure you're signed in to the RankLadder app on your phone and that your phone allows notifications from it.
- No email? Check your spam folder, and confirm which address you sign in with under Settings, in the Account tab.

Voicemail mode: what happens when the AI is off
When AI answering is off, forwarded calls go to RankLadder voicemail. Every message is recorded, written out, summarized, and lands in your Inbox. It uses no voice minutes.
Alert your staff about calls and bookings
Send text or email alerts to up to 5 team members when calls, texts, bookings, or reviews come in. Each person picks their own events, with an optional "Only if" rule for calls.
