Today: your work and activity in one place
See what needs attention, review calls, texts and chats, and compare activity over periods up to 90 days.
On the web, Today brings your daily work and activity reporting together. The information previously shown in Insights is now here, so there is no separate Today/Insights tab to switch between.
Choose a date range
Use the date dropdown beside your business selector. Choose Today, or the last 7, 14, 30, 45, 60, or 90 days. The dropdown replaces the old Today, 7 days, and 30 days buttons.
The selection changes your reporting period. Open work remains in the work queue until it is handled; choosing a shorter reporting period does not close or complete it.
Start with your work queue
When there is open work or something needing attention, the Work queue appears first. Switch between Mine, Unassigned, Needs attention, and All open.
Needs attention can include approvals, overdue follow-ups, failed actions, customer replies, callbacks, hot leads, and reviews waiting for a reply. Use the filter control to choose which optional attention categories you see, and select an item to act on it.
For the shared list of specific things your team still needs to do for customers, open Tasks. Customer tasks explains how to add a task, choose its owner, and set a due date.
Read the headline numbers
The four headline figures show:
- Calls answered: answered inbound calls, including those answered by Anders, a person, or a successful transfer. Outgoing calls, missed calls, voicemail, and spam are not counted as answered inbound calls.
- Handled by Anders: calls and website chats handled by Anders when activity reporting is available. The note beneath the number tells you what is included; if only call data is available, it shows the call-based figure and percentage instead.
- Avg. duration: average length of calls with a recorded duration.
- Spam blocked: conversations marked as spam in the selected activity window.
For multi-day ranges, the Anders activity figure also shows a comparison with the preceding period when that information is available.
Review recent activity
Below the operations cards, Activity → Volume brings together incoming calls, outgoing calls, website chats, and text messages. Text-message totals include incoming and outgoing SMS; the separate Sent texts card counts outbound SMS only. The website-chat total is a count, while the nearby chat list shows up to six recent conversations.
For a multi-day range, the chart shows activity by date. Each channel has its own color, and its total is compared with the preceding period of the same length. For example, a 30-day report compares against the previous 30 days. Longer charts can scroll horizontally without moving the rest of the page.
The hourly call chart is always visible under Volume. Use the dropdown beside the channel totals to switch between 12 hours (7am–7pm) and 24 hours (the full day). Its call count follows the hours shown; the 12-hour view excludes calls outside that window.
When a multi-day range is selected, use Export CSV in the activity section to download the report. If reporting is unavailable, the page does not present missing information as confirmed zero activity.
Keep the useful shortcuts
The other cards still show transferred calls, sent texts, voicemail, knowledge, and Google reviews. Configure means a feature needs setup; select it to open the relevant settings. Activity → Conversation topics shows Sales inquiries, Scheduling requests, Billing questions, and Urgent in a two-column grid. It combines tags on calls in the selected period with tags on text and website-chat conversations active in that period. Each conversation counts once per topic, even with repeated calls; spam is excluded. Topics stay visible at zero, and a conversation can have more than one topic. These are the same standard tags used in Inbox, independent of connected services. Website chat links to recent conversations.
To connect Google or another tool, open Settings → Workspace → Connections. See Find and manage your connections.
Existing links and the mobile app
Old web Insights links open Today and retain a supported reporting period. The mobile app keeps its existing navigation, including Insights in the workspace menu; the web dropdown described above does not change the mobile menu.

The Inbox collects every call, text, and website chat as one conversation per customer. Here is how the rows, filters, and spam section work.
