Using RankLadder

Set up Google review requests

Request reviews from saved contacts, manage your message, and choose how connected-app triggers send.

Reviews is the home for sending and managing Google review requests. You can select saved contacts yourself, or connect an app to prepare requests when customer work is completed.

Before you begin

  • Connect your Google Business Profile.
  • Make sure texting is active for your business.

You only need a connected business app for triggered requests. Manual requests do not require a connected app or completed job.

Request a review manually

Open Reviews and choose Request a review. Search your saved contacts, select one or more, and send the requests together. This is useful when first setting up RankLadder and asking established customers who have not yet been invited.

RankLadder does not require a completed job for a manual request. It still checks that the contact has both Information & reminders permission and separate written Review requests permission, along with opt-out status, texting registration, cooldown, quiet hours, and available messaging usage.

Review message

Choose the gear in Reviews to open Review settings. You can edit the English and Spanish opening of the request. RankLadder adds the Google review link, private-reply option, business name, and required STOP instruction automatically.

App

App chooses where RankLadder receives the completed-work update. Only connected apps that support verified completion events appear in this list.

If the list is unavailable, open Settings → Workspace → Connections and connect an app first.

Trigger

Trigger chooses the event that means the work is complete. The available events depend on the app you selected.

RankLadder uses the provider's confirmed event. A booking, payment attempt, or other unfinished state does not count as completed work.

Send

Hold for review prepares the request and adds it to Pending review requests in Reviews. A teammate must choose Send review request or Skip. Nothing is sent before approval.

Send automatically sends the request after the selected trigger passes all required checks.

Wait

Wait appears when you choose Send automatically. You can send immediately or wait 5 minutes, 20 minutes, 1 hour, or 24 hours.

Checks before sending

Before a request is sent, RankLadder checks customer consent, opt-out status, texting registration, cooldown, quiet hours, and available messaging usage. Connected-app triggers also require completed-work evidence. A trigger can occur without producing a message if one of these checks does not pass.

Review requests are neutral. RankLadder does not select customers based on ratings, sentiment, complaints, or predicted satisfaction.
