How RankLadder handles spam calls
RankLadder screens spam twice, before answering and in the first seconds of the call, then files it in a separate Spam section so it never interrupts you.
RankLadder screens every incoming call for spam twice: once before the call is answered, and again in the first seconds of the conversation. Spam never mixes with your real conversations and never sends you a notification.
The two checks
- Before the call is answered. RankLadder checks the incoming number against known spam signals, like the type of line calling and the number's reputation. Obvious robocallers are turned away before your receptionist even picks up.
- In the first seconds of the call. If a call gets through, the AI listens to how it opens. Recorded messages, autodialers, and telemarketer scripts are easy to spot. The AI politely ends the call and marks the conversation as spam.
Real callers are never quizzed or made to prove they're human. A normal customer just hears your greeting.
Where spam calls go
Spam collapses into its own Spam section at the bottom of the Inbox list, with a count. These conversations are kept, not deleted, so you can spot-check that nothing real was filtered by mistake. Expand the section any time to review them.
Spam never triggers a notification, so a 6 a.m. robocall won't wake you up.
Fix a mistake
- A real call landed in Spam? Open it and choose Not spam. It moves back into your regular Inbox.
- Junk got through? Open the conversation and choose Mark as spam. It moves to the Spam section.
If a specific caller keeps bothering you
Spam screening targets robocalls and telemarketers, not individual people. If one specific number keeps calling and you never want the AI to answer it again, block that caller from their contact card. See "Block a caller".
