Getting Started

Forward your calls to RankLadder

Find your RankLadder number, then set up forwarding directly with your phone provider. RankLadder does not control carrier routing.

Your phone provider—not RankLadder—controls which calls are forwarded. RankLadder cannot turn forwarding on, turn it off, or decide which phone rings.

Before you begin

  • Finish the setup wizard so your dedicated RankLadder number is ready.
  • Open Settings, then Call Forwarding, and copy your RankLadder number.
  • Have the login details for your phone provider available.

Set up forwarding with your provider

  1. Sign in to your provider's app or website, or call its support team.
  2. Find the provider's call-forwarding settings.
  3. Enter your RankLadder number as the forwarding destination.
  4. Choose the carrier behavior you want. Your provider may offer missed/busy-call forwarding, immediate forwarding, schedules, or only one of those options.
  5. Save the change with your provider.
  6. Call your business number from another phone to confirm the call reaches RankLadder.

What RankLadder controls

After your provider sends a call to RankLadder, there is one control in Settings, then AI Answering:

  • AI on: your AI receptionist answers the forwarded call.
  • AI off: the forwarded call goes to RankLadder voicemail.

Changing AI Answering never changes your carrier forwarding.

If calls do not arrive

  • Confirm that your provider saved the correct RankLadder number.
  • Check whether your provider requires forwarding to be enabled separately for busy, unanswered, or all calls.
  • On iPhone, Live Voicemail can answer before carrier forwarding occurs. Check your iPhone settings if calls stay on the device.
  • Google Fi manages forwarding in the Fi app.
  • Contact your phone provider if the routing itself is not working; RankLadder cannot change provider-side forwarding.
