Understand allowances and credits
See what resets monthly, what draws from your prepaid credit balance, and what happens when a balance reaches zero.
You can see exactly what you've used and what you have left, anytime.
Steps
- Open Settings, then the Credits tab.
- Available now shows your live credit balance and examples of the activity it can cover.
Your monthly plan allowances for voice minutes, texts, and AI website-chat replies are always used first. Voice minutes cover inbound AI calls, transfers, and human calls placed in RankLadder. If one allowance runs out, eligible activity in that channel starts drawing from the same shared credit balance; the other channels keep using their own remaining allowances.
What draws from your credits
- AI receptionist: 25 credits per minute
- Text message: 5 credits per carrier segment
- AI website chat: 5 credits per AI-generated reply
Ask Anders is included with your active plan and does not draw credits. Human replies after your team takes over a website chat are also free.
One text can use more than one carrier segment when it is long or contains certain characters. RankLadder shows and meters the carrier-billed segments, not merely the number of times you press Send.
What happens next
Credits never expire and your wallet never becomes negative. If the wallet reaches zero and the relevant monthly allowance is also used up, that activity pauses until you buy more credits, upgrade, or your plan renews. An active call can finish; the next cost-bearing call pauses.
RankLadder does not buy credits automatically and never adds an extra-usage charge to your monthly invoice.
