Add booking, review, and call blocks
Put RankLadder booking, Google review, and click-to-call tools on any WordPress page.
RankLadder adds three dynamic WordPress blocks. They use current RankLadder information each time the page renders, so you can update the source in RankLadder instead of editing the same destination across your site.
Add a RankLadder block
- Open a page or post in the WordPress block editor.
- Select the Block Inserter (+).
- Search for RankLadder.
- Choose RankLadder Booking, RankLadder Google Review Button, or RankLadder Call Button.
- Choose the block settings, preview the page, and publish your changes.
Each block supports left, center, or right alignment. Button text can be changed without changing the destination. RankLadder does not load a separate stylesheet for these blocks; they use WordPress button and alignment classes so your active theme controls their appearance.
Booking block
The booking block uses active appointment types with public Calendly or Acuity destinations.
- Button mode opens the public scheduler in a new tab.
- Embed mode displays the scheduler inside the page.
- If more than one public appointment type is available, choose the one this page should use.
Calendly supplies its public destination when the appointment connection is synchronized. For Acuity, open Receptionist → Appointments in RankLadder and paste the public scheduling page into the appointment type.
Google Calendar and Outlook can still power the AI receptionist's phone-booking workflow, but they do not provide a public WordPress booking widget in this release.
Google review block
The review block opens Google's public review form for the location connected under Settings → Workspace → Connections → Google Business Profile.
Turn on Show rating and review count to display RankLadder's latest Google rating snapshot above the button. The plugin never calculates a rating from a partial review list.
If no review destination appears, confirm that Google Business Profile is connected, a location is selected, and the connection status is active.
Call block
The call block creates a tel: link using the public business phone number saved in RankLadder. On a phone, selecting it opens the visitor's calling app. On a desktop, behavior depends on the calling software installed on that device.
If the block is unavailable, add the business's public phone number in RankLadder and wait up to five minutes for the plugin configuration to refresh.
Use shortcodes instead
Classic editors and page builders can use WordPress shortcodes:
[rankladder_booking]
[rankladder_review_button]
[rankladder_call_button]Common options:
[rankladder_booking mode="embed" text="Book now" align="center"]
[rankladder_review_button text="Review us on Google" show_rating="1" align="center"]
[rankladder_call_button text="Call now" align="center"]Allowed alignment values are left, center, and right. Booking mode can be button or embed.
If a block is blank
RankLadder hides an unavailable control from public visitors instead of publishing a broken button. While signed in as a WordPress administrator, view the page to see the setup message.
Check the matching source:
- Booking needs an active Calendly or Acuity appointment type with a public HTTPS URL.
- Reviews need an active Google Business Profile location.
- Click-to-call needs a public business phone number.
- The WordPress connection and RankLadder subscription must both be active.
If the source was just changed, wait up to five minutes for the cached WordPress configuration to refresh.
